Vaughan is the 5th largest city in GTA and is also called as the City above Toronto. This city is located in the heart of Greater Toronto Area and is only 25 minutes away from downtown Toronto. MoneySense magazine also rated this city in 2018 as one of the best places to live. It is also one of the fastest-growing city in Canada with an estimated population of 325,678 as of July 2019. Vaughan is the first municipality outside Toronto to have the TTC subway service.

Vaughan is also the 4th largest industrial market in GTA and is the top employment centre in York Region with a 1.8% growth in employment in 2019. Kleinburg

Formerly called as Village of Kleinberg, this charming neighbourhood is located in the northern part of Vaughan and is situated between two branches of the Humber River. This neighbourhood has many heritage homes that date back to the eighteen hundreds along with large detached homes and large lots.

In the first Saturday after Labour Day, residents celebrate the Binder Twine Festival to celebrate the farming history of the place. In this festival, there are unique crafts, great entertainment and food organized by volunteers from the community.

It is also home to the world-renowned McMichael Art Gallery, a major art gallery where you can see exhibits of Canadian art. The gallery also offers workshops, camps, tours and lectures that are perfect for people of all ages.

For outdoor activities, you will love the Copper Creek Golf Club located in the Humber River Valley. This is considered as one of the best public championship golf course in GTA and is easily accessible from Hwy 407. You can also go hiking in The Humber Valley Heritage Trail and play tennis at Kleinburg Nashville Tennis Club at Bindertwine Park.
 

Woodbridge

Woodbridge is a large and historical suburban neighbourhood. One of its many neighbourhoods is Downtown Woodbridge which has tree-lined sidewalks and mostly features condos and townhomes. People of varied ages live here, from young professionals to retirees. One reason might be because this area is convenient since shops and businesses are within walking distance only.

You can also enjoy great sceneries here. One example is the Boyd Conservation Area where you can do bird watching and hiking and picnicking. You can also have access to local agriculture and healthy food at Woodbridge Farmer’s market which is open every Saturday mornings. Maple

Maple is a fast-growing suburban community and is surrounded by many urban communities such as Concord and Woodbridge. This neighbourhood is home to the city’s municipal offices such as the City Hall. Next to the City Hall is the YMCA Child Care Centre which has good programs for families with infants to school-aged children.

Single-family homes are most common in this area however there are new housing developments recently like condos along Dufferin St. and Rutherford Road and the Bellaria condos, the tallest condo towers in Maple.

This neigbourhood also has close proximity to popular landmarks such as Canada’s Wonderland and Eagle’s Nest Golf Club where you can play in one of the best golf course. Just south of Canada’s Wonderland is Vaughan Mills, Toronto’s first outlet mall and one of the biggest shopping centres in GTA.

Other recreational facilities are Maple Community Centre where you can have indoor swimming and ice skating and Civic Centre Library for various reading programs. For hiking and trails, make sure you wear your forest clothes when you go to Maple Nature Reserve, one of the many green spaces in Maple. If you are a commuter, you have Go Transit Line and Viva Bus Transit as options for getting around.
 

Thornhill

This large community is located in the northern part of North York and is divided between the City of Markham and the City of Vaughan. This multicultural community mostly has high-end residential areas but also offers modern condos, townhomes and detached homes. This neighbourhood also has some of the top-rated schools such as Westmount Collegiate Institute and Bayview Fairways Public School.

In City Playhouse Theatre, you can enjoy live performances or even host your own event in this 386-seat theatre. Just a few block away is the Centre Street where the major stores are located including the Promenade Mall. This is an indoor shopping mall with wide choices for clothing and retail.

The North Thornhill Community Centre features cycling studio, sauna, and fitness centre while in Garnet A. Williams Community Centre, you can have outdoor skating and play racquetball. With this area having a multicultural population, you can enjoy different cuisines in restaurants such as Me Va Me for Mediterranean meals and Cynthia's Chinese Restaurant for Chinese cuisine. For commuters, the Go Transit and York Region Transit System are the best way around the area.
 

Concord

This neighbourhood is a small suburban industrial town located north of Toronto. This area can be easily accessed through Hwy 7, 400 and 407. It is home to the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, the new master-planned community of the city.

Although this is mainly an industrial hub, you can still find residential areas in Concord. This neighbourhood features many single-family homes and new condos and townhouse are being developed around the area.

One of the advantage in this area is its close proximity to big-box stores such as IKEA and The RioCan Colossus Centre where you can find restaurants, clothing stores and Cineplex. Families can also enjoy spending their recreation time at the Chancellor Community Centre where you can have outdoor skating, swimming, gym and many more! For public transportation, you have the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre TTC Station.
